The Courtney Copeland Memorial Foundation helps people in inner city communities who are underserved, underprivileged, and disenfranchised, become more stable, independent and successful, through our violence prevention, after-school tutoring and mentoring, college and career readiness, and community giving programs.
We believe that the Core Concepts to Community Empowerment are:
Mentoring through Education
Action aimed at social and political change
The Courtney Copeland Memorial Foundation endeavors to ensure that those we serve gain a complete understanding of these core concepts, utilizing that knowledge in making decision that will be beneficial for themselves and their communities.
Gun Violence Prevention and Awareness
We believe that gun violence is a serious and growing problem in our country, and we believe that gun violence prevention and awareness programs can be an important part of the solution. We are committed to providing education and resources to help prevent gun violence and increase awareness about its impact. Our program focuses on education, prevention, and intervention strategies that have been proven to reduce gun violence. We provide education about the risks associated with gun ownership, the importance of proper storage, and the need for responsible gun ownership. We also provide resources for those experiencing gun violence, such as counseling and support services. We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in reducing gun violence in our communities.

We welcome all who are grieving, no matter the circumstances, and we strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our focus is on providing compassionate support and understanding, and helping members take positive steps to cope with their grief while moving on your journey of healing.
